Hello! You, yes, you!
Hopefully, you’re reading this blog, because you are interested in helping to sponsor Edusports to deliver an activity for a child who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate; this is your chance to help change and shape a life, quite literally. We’re not asking you to go and run the activity for us. Far from it, but what we are asking you to consider is whether you could help us to sponsor a child on our activities.

It’s down to you as to how much you like to sponsor but with so many children missing out, let us help you to help them get that vital experience and adventure helping them to create life long skills. You could:

- Donate a regular amount each month (£5/£10/£20 or let us know how much) to help a child on our activities.
- Sponsor the swimming lessons, as part of our Splash Squad. (£20 per week)
- Sponsor them to go on a camp with us (Prices vary).
- Sponsor an activity day (£55.00)

Unlike the big major charities, 100% (minus any card processing fees) of your donation will be going on the participants to help pay for their activities. Although, yes, the money will come to us through the participants, it will automatically be taken off of the participant’s fee, with us taking no cut prior to this.

Why should I help Edusports?

Started by a Teacher, who wanted to get children out doing more activities and really trying to inspire learning through different activities, it wasn’t working in the UK school system. Cue, creation of Edusports. We know the power and value of outdoor education. Parents also tell us, just how crucial the activities are which we do and how much we’ve benefitted their children.

As initially described and started by one of our participants, now a member of our Instructor Academy, “Chris is built differently.” A few years later, and many other participants have also said this same statements and it has now become part of us.
We are Edusports.
We are different.
We Inspire Education through Sport.

Edusports is different. Different because we like to get to know the children who come to us, so then we can make their experience unique and more special, just for them. Different because the feedback they give us, goes directly into their activities.
You are helping children in our local area, our community.

What’s in it for me?

No matter how much you sponsor, we’ll invite you to come and join us for an activity day, so you can actually meet the children that your sponsorship has helped, finding out your donation has helped them personally.

There may also be some other goodies like caps and other materials which we may get made up.

If you are a business owner or it is a company sponsoring, we’ll put your name onto our website and social media helping to promote your business too.

Finally, it’s that feel good feeling! You will know that you are making an impact on a child’s life and what better feeling is there than that! Thank for what you do contribute, we really value and appreciate it, and I know the children do too! See below for feedback from one young lady who was able to go last time, because of the sponsorship and equally what some parents say about Edusports.

To contribute, please click on the buttons at the top of this page or let us know how much you would like to sponsor and we will send you then direct link to sign up to that amount.

Thank you for your help,

Chris

"A small review of the week – South Coast Camp 2025
By Mia
A lot happened over the week but these are a few of the things that I enjoyed.

Splashdown
I think that splash down was the highlight for most of us because: there were multiple rides that all of us (as a group) could enjoy (and that was pretty impressive because the oldest was 16 and the youngest 8 so there was a range of things that we could do without leaving someone behind). Another thing was that when you are in a group you could talk when in queues (that made it easier to pass time) and if you were scared to go on a ride you could always ask someone to go in front (to see if they survive).

The beach
I as a singular person (who has been to the beach many times) would say that this was the best beach I have ever been to this was mostly because of the stones on Chesil beach were absolutely perfect (round and shiny).

And there is a drop at the end and where the drop ends begins the sea with massive waves so if you were to accidentally slip down the drop you would face the fate of a massive wave smouldering you this fate incidentally happened to my brother, and oh it was a really “sad” thing to see.

The sunrise paddle
The sunrise paddle was probably the most amazing thing that I have ever seen: paddling across a sparkling river with a beautiful sunrise on the horizon and by me distracted by the beauty I DIDN’T fall in!!! We also got to see a wonder of nature that most people can’t see because they are to lazy to get out of bed( so quoted Chris).

The whole experience
The whole experience made me feel like an adult not just a 11 year old child, this was due to how the people around us trusted and treated us; the chores we did🙄 and the rewards we got. So I would like to thank Edusports (and Bodie) for having to deal with me for a week (a terrifying challenge) to the south coast and helping me experience the inexperienced!

Top Tip
Be nice to Chris and Bodie (if he is with you, what can I say he’s a nice guy).
P.S she (the mum) said this is the shortest she could do :)"

A parent review
This child started with us in September 2025 and the review was written in December 2025.

“My 12-year-old son joined Edusports in September, starting with the Splash Squad, then moving on to Adventure Xtreme and later the Paddle Squad also. Before joining, he often struggled with friendships and emotions, finding it difficult to cope when situations at school became challenging.

Since becoming part of Edusports, the transformation has been incredible. His confidence has soared, and he now manages tricky social situations without feeling overwhelmed. The groups are wonderfully friendly, and the young people are always welcoming, which has made such a difference. The leaders are consistently encouraging, and I truly believe having someone believe in him has been a huge boost to his self-esteem.

At the beginning of our Edusports journey, the idea of a residential felt daunting to him he was very reluctant. Yet within just a month, his mindset completely changed. He is now signed up for the mountain bike residential in February and is genuinely excited and enthusiastic about it.

Edusports has not only given him new skills but also a supportive community that has helped him grow in confidence and resilience. I couldn’t be more grateful for the positive impact it has had on him.”
