Ofsted. One word which everyone knows. But for us, it's a choice!
Today, we received an Ofsted inspection. An inspection which is done randomly. We choose to be on the Voluntary Childcare Register, to allow us to be able to take childcare vouchers as a number of parents asked us for it. Each time we register with a new childcare voucher organisation, they will check our Ofsted registration.
Within these inspections, as well as having a good discussion around safeguarding, and different scenarios, they also have a look at our policies and procedures, check-in with the children and like to see DBS checks and qualifications.
Each year, they pick 10% at random to inspect. However, for us, having had 3 sites originally registered, we've currently been inspected each year, and each year, we've been proud to speak to the Inspector, similar to whenever we get other inspections, because we are proud of Edusports and what has become of Edusports.
Unlike in schools and other educational settings, where they receive a grading, we don't. It's either, we have met or not met the standards. I'm pleased to say that once again, we've met the required standards!
When you come to Edusports, you know your children will be safe because of all of the policies and procedures which we put into place. If an activity isn't safe at Edusports, it isn't run, it's as simple as that. What's more, we like to know the team we are working with you, so we know their backgrounds, where they've come from and what activities they really enjoy! You'll also get to know the team who work with us, as you will see their faces again and again.
